Dexter Diu, DPT
Dex completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Melbourne after practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist throughout the Lower Mainland.
While playing on several high-level soccer teams, including Junior Whitecaps and University teams, Dex gained first-hand experiences on the importance of physical therapy and rehabilitation. This eventually lead to developing a passion in helping athletes of all levels successfully return to physical activity and sport.
Dex’s passion eventually lead him to working with high-level athletes in many different sport settings. Dex recently returned from an internship at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas. During his tenure, he worked alongside industry leaders in Physiotherapy and Strength and Conditioning to rehabilitate and reduce injury risks among highly ranked UFC fighters. His other experiences include working with China’s Women Olympic rowing team, Olympic level long-distance runners, as well as professional soccer players.
His treatment approach encompasses a thorough full musculoskeletal assessment, focusing on an individualized evidenced-based approach to effectively manage the unique needs of each client with the use of manual therapy and exercise.
