Dr. Jim Sahota, DC
Dr. Jim Sahota has now been in practice for over 10 years! Born and raised in Burnaby, BC, growing up he was involved in many sports, whether it was on the field or as a coach. This desire for athletics steered him to attend Simon Fraser University where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During his undergraduate and coaching he became fascinated about the human body, how it functioned, how it responded to stressors and how it can heal.
Dr. Jim Sahota graduated from the University of Western States in 2012 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic while concurrently completing his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. Upon completion of his studies, he returned back to his home town of Burnaby to complete his Chiropractic preceptorship under Dr. Stefan Sigalet.
Dr. Jim Sahota has worked with people from all walks of life, from children to the elderly, elite athletes to office workers and everything in between. His studies and practice have given him extensive experience with various conditions and the opportunity to work with other professionals to take an integrative approach to health. He uses a combination of many different therapies he has learned over the years to tailor a treatment plan specific to you and your goals. Treatment may include soft tissue therapies, chiropractic adjustments, nutritional advice and modalities such as shockwave/and or spinal decompression. Dr. Sahota has been able to incorporate Shockwave therapy into his practice for the past 10 years and continues to see amazing results.
Dr. Sahota also does fittings for custom made orthotics and custom/off the shelf braces, as he finds these can help speed up one’s recovery. Dr. Sahota believes learning and staying up to date with the most current research and therapies is pivotal in one’s healing, as healthcare is an always evolving and changing field.
