Dr. Claire Wilson, ND
Dr. Claire Wilson, ND, is a board certified Naturopathic Physician providing care to families and individuals of all ages. She has been fascinated by the innate healing capacity of the human body from a young age, which led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia. After an interval of working abroad, she continued on to complete her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia.
While Dr. Wilson maintains a general practice, she has a passion for treating chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries. As an outdoor enthusiast herself, she is a walking textbook of injuries, which has led to her dedication towards creating sustainable pain relief solutions for her patients. She has completed extensive continuing education & training in chronic pain therapeutics that include functional dry needling/acupuncture, prolotherapy, platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection therapy, neural therapy, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. While she competently uses these therapies & diagnostic tools in practice to enhance her treatment toolbox & clinical assessment, she strives to evaluate chronic pain through a whole-person lens. This may involve hormone health, sleep quality, clinical nutrition & exercise patterns – all factors that play a role in your recovery. In addition to injury rehabilitation, Dr. Wilson also has specific interests in post-concussion care, autoimmune conditions, & womens’ health.
Dr. Wilson is committed to practicing from a patient-centered philosophy that involves individualized care, evidence-based therapeutics, and consistent patient education. She believes strongly in an interdisciplinary approach wherein the patient is informed, aware, and highly involved in their health choices. Dr. Wilson maintains her Naturopathic Medical practice at Catalyst Kinetics Group in Burnaby, BC, as well in Tofino & Ucluelet on a monthly basis.
Aside from Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Wilson is a 500-hr Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor and anatomy instructor for yoga teacher training. When she is out of the clinic, Dr. Wilson can be found enjoying all that British Columbia has to offer – hiking, biking, snowboarding, and surfing.
